Citrus Heights, CA (September 5, 2023) A motorcycle rider was killed after colliding with a truck on Monday morning. The Citrus Heights Police Department said the collision occurred around 11:08 a.m. in the Greenback Lane and Sunrise Boulevard area.

First responders arrived at the scene to find the motorcyclist lying in the road. Emergency personnel gave first aid treatment before the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital. The rider sustained life-threatening injuries during the crash and later died from those injuries.
The truck contained two occupants, who were both injured, but remained at the scene to cooperate with police officers. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this accident, but it remains under investigation.
