Lake County, CA (September 13, 2023) A motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday evening after he collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. The California Highway Patrol Incident Information Page reported that the accident occurred between Pepperwood Grove and Lucerne, on State Route 20.

It happened a little after 7:00 p.m. The tractor was pulling a trailer and hauling a backhoe down the road when it collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and reportedly landed under the truck. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was covered in debris from the collision, as well.
There is no report of the tractor driver being injured. It is still unknown what caused the collision and investigators are working the scene.
