Bakersfield, CA (April 13, 2024) A motorcyclist sustained major injuries in a collision with another vehicle in Bakersfield last night. The accident occurred on Coffee Road near Brimhall Road around 10:00 p.m. on April 12th, according to reports.
The motorcyclist was riding down Coffee Road in Bakersfield on Friday night, when they collided with another car near the intersection of Brimhall Road. The force from the impact knocked the rider from the motorcycle, throwing him onto the ground. Officers are not entirely sure what happened, but the motorcyclist sustained injuries in the collision, they said.
The Bakersfield Fire Department arrived at the scene along with the Bakersfield Police Department. They found the motorcycle laying on the side of the road and the rider lying on the ground a few feet from it. The motorcycle had damage and the rider was obviously injured, officers said. Paramedics evaluated the rider and they were taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle involved wasn’t injured but remained at the scene and cooperated with officers following the collision. Investigators gathered evidence and are working diligently to figure out what caused this accident at a Bakersfield intersection and who was at fault. The motorcycle was hauled from the scene and officers said that there were no road closures as a result of this accident.
