Sunnyvale, CA (September 18, 2024) The community of Sunnyvale was shocked as news spread of a two-vehicle crash that left one person injured. The collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck occurred on Highway 237, not far from Mathilda Avenue, just after 1:00 p.m.
It was Monday afternoon, September 16th, in Sunnyvale, California. As vehicles drove along Highway 237, a motorcycle and a pickup truck suddenly collided around 1:10 p.m. The impact knocked the rider from the motorcycle and the vehicles blocked the highway, causing delays in traffic until nearly 3:00 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist on the ground, obviously injured. Paramedics arrived at the scene and quickly loaded the rider into an ambulance before rushing them to a local hospital for treatment for unknown injuries. No other injuries were reported in this collision.
Investigators began working the scene and are determined to uncover what happened to cause this collision on Highway 237. They are also working to figure out who was responsible for this accident. The motorcycle was hauled from the scene and debris was cleaned off the highway before traffic could continue normally, which was around 2:49 p.m.
