Hesperia, CA (April 5, 2024) An accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle occurred just before 7:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5th. The accident took place on the Interstate 15 Freeway in Hesperia and left the motorcyclist with major injuries, reports indicated.

The motorcycle was heading along Interstate 15, not far from Oak Hill Road, when it collided with a Chevrolet Volt sedan in the southbound lanes of the freeway.  The motorcyclist was thrown during the impact and ended up in the left lane. The driver of the Chevy stopped after the accident, according to officers at the scene. The motorcycle slid across the roadway and the accident ended up blocking the number 1 lane as well as the number 2 lane on the interstate.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the motorcycle with severe damage. The rider was lying on the ground with major injuries and in need of medical attention. He was taken to a local hospital via ambulance to receive treatment for major, but non-life-threatening injuries. There is no news as to whether or not the driver of the Chevy was injured in this accident.

Officers at the scene had to call a tow truck to southbound Interstate 15 to remove the damaged motorcycle from the roadway. Investigators gathered evidence and spoke to those involved and are determined to figure out what exactly happened on Interstate 15 in Hesperia this morning. They will also discover who is at fault for this injury accident.
