Davis, CA (October 22, 2023) A motorcyclist was killed on Friday afternoon, October 20th, after they crashed into another vehicle on Interstate 80 in Solano County. The California Highway Patrol told KCRA 3 that the collision occurred just before 3:30 p.m.

Authorities reported that the motorcyclist rear-ended another vehicle on the interstate. Reports indicate that the motorcyclist didn’t brake soon enough when traffic in front of them slowed. They rear-ended another vehicle by the Kidwell Road off-ramp just west of Davis.
Emergency crews arrived and discovered a man in his 60s, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol logs showed that traffic was backed up all the way to Pedrick Road near the Dixon area as crews cleared the crash site and investigated this fatal accident.
