Motorcyclist Killed In Lancaster Hit-And-Run

Motorcyclist killed, 6 injured in San Bernardino County crash.

Lancaster, CA (April 16, 2024) Disbelief fell over the town of Lancaster on Monday night after a motorcyclist was tragically killed in a hit-and-run collision. The horrible crash took place east of 42nd Street, on Avenue K at approximately 9:40 p.m. The vehicle that collided with the motorcycle fled the scene, leaving the rider with life-threatening injuries, reports indicated.

It was just before 10:00 p.m. on April 15th as a motorcyclist rode along Avenue K in Lancaster. For reasons still unknown, the rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the eastbound lane of the road. A white sedan was traveling along Avenue K and ran over the motorcyclist, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station Detective Ryan Ament. Instead of stopping to render aid or call for help, the driver continued driving until the sedan was out of sight.

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station arrived at the scene and found the motorcycle laying on the ground. Several feet from the motorcycle was the rider who had sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. Paramedics rushed to the rider’s side and they were rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment. Sadly, they later succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officers gathered evidence at the scene and are determined to find the vehicle that ran over the motorcyclist and fled the scene. By finding the vehicle, they hope to find the driver and bring him or her to justice. Leaving the scene of an injury accident is not only heartless, but it is also illegal.
