North Las Vegas, NV (April 23, 2024) A fatal accident involving a motorcycle occurred in North Las Vegas on Tuesday morning, according to reports. The accident happened just before 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue. Sadly, the motorcyclist did not survive the collision.
The sun had yet to rise over North Las Vegas at 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday morning. A motorcyclist headed through the quiet, early morning streets of Las Vegas, approaching the intersection of Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue. As the motorcyclist entered the intersection, another vehicle came through and the two collided, officers said. The impact from the collision ejected the rider from their motorcycle. They landed several feet away, rolling a few times before stopping.
The North Las Vegas Police Department arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist on the ground, not moving. Paramedics rushed to the rider’s side and administered life-saving techniques, but the biker’s injuries were too severe. Sadly, authorities pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene and called for the coroner.
The motorcycle laid on the ground, smashed and damaged from the crash. The other vehicle involved also had damage from the collision, but the driver was uninjured.
Investigators spoke with the driver of the other vehicle and gathered evidence from the crash site. They are determined to figure out what exactly happened at this North Las Vegas intersection and who was at fault. The destroyed motorcycle had to be hauled from the scene following the investigation.
