Motorcyclist Killed In Sacramento Hit-And-Run

Two motorcyclists injured in Bakersfield collision.

Sacramento, CA (March 11, 2024) A community was shocked once news spread of a motorcyclist’s death following a hit-and-run in Sacramento. It was just after 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9th, when the vehicle struck the motorcyclist and then fled the scene.

Officers hurried to the intersection of Rio Linda Boulevard and Ephesus Avenue after receiving calls about a motorcyclist who was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the 38-year-old motorcyclist lying on the ground with serious injuries. The motorcycle was several feet away, damaged and smashed from the collision. Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, they were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Following an investigation of the scene, officers determined that the driver struck the motorcyclist and sped away before officers arrived at the scene. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and assist the motorcyclist or even call for help. Instead, they continued driving and left the motorcyclist alone in the middle of the roadway.
