Las Vegas, NV (October 28, 2024) A motorcyclist tragically lost their life in a collision with another vehicle in the southwest Las Vegas Valley on Saturday night. It was 6:30 p.m. when the motorcycle and another vehicle collided at the intersection of Arville Street and Flamingo Road.
Initial reports indicated that a 2012 Yamaha V-Star was approaching the intersection at the same time as a 2004 Ford Expedition. The motorcyclist was heading east and the Ford was traveling west, officers reported. For reasons that remain unknown, the motorcycle crashed into the right side of the Ford. The impact sent the rider flying from the motorcycle before hitting the ground, hard. The driver of the Ford immediately stopped and waited for police officers to arrive.
Upon arrival, authorities found the motorcyclist on the ground with fatal injuries. Realizing nothing could be done to save the rider, officials sadly pronounced them dead at the scene and requested a coroner. Officers reported that the driver of the Ford was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.
