Redding, CA (July 19, 2024) A man sustained serious injuries after a collision on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17.
A motorcyclist named Michael Garcia, 38, was riding west on Hartnell Avenue. Redding Police Department reported that at this time, a woman was reversing a minivan outside of a private property and pulled directly into Garcia’s path.
Photos of the aftermath of the incident show police and the minivan being towed on the property of Hartnell Cleaners, possibly the location that the woman was trying to reverse out of when the crash occurred.
Garcia then slammed into the side of the van, leaving him with major injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital. His current condition is not known at the time of writing.
Reports don’t indicate that the driver of the van was injured. Redding Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in this collision.
