Morgan Hill, CA (May 15, 2021) A chaotic accident involving a motorcycle and more than one vehicle occurred on Highway 101 in Morgan Hill on Wednesday morning, May 15th. The accident left the motorcyclist with serious injuries, reports indicated. The collision occurred just after 6:00 a.m. near Cochrane Road.
The motorcyclist was riding along Highway 101 as traffic slowly began to pick up. Suddenly, the motorcyclist collided with a white Honda. Immediately after hitting the white Honda, the motorcyclist was struck by a black Honda. The force threw the rider from the motorcycle and landed in the fast lane of the highway. The motorcycle slid several feet and finally came to a stop in the slow lane, according to reports. Witnesses began calling 911, one of whom told dispatchers that they saw a brown Toyota Corolla pulled over further down the road with driver’s side damage it had received in the collision. The motorist removed the damaged fender from the vehicle and then drove away.

Not knowing exactly what was taking place on Highway 101, the California Highway Patrol hurried to the scene. Traffic was backed up and the motorcyclist was still lying in the fast lane as witnesses used their vehicles to keep other vehicles from hitting them. Paramedics arrived at the scene and hurried to the motorcyclist’s side. They found the rider alive, but with serious injuries. They were loaded into an ambulance and taken to a hospital in the area to receive emergency treatment for critical injuries.
