Thousand Palms, CA (March 31, 2024) A motorcycle ride didn’t go as expected for one rider on the morning of March 29th. At approximately 7:12 a.m., the motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Ramon Road in Thousand Palms, leaving the motorcyclist with serious injuries, according to officers.
The California Highway Patrol received the call about an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle, early on Friday morning. Initial investigations indicated that the vehicle and the motorcycle collided in the eastbound lanes of Ramon Road. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but the driver of the other vehicle stopped and cooperated with authorities following the accident.
Cal Fire sent paramedics to the scene to give aid to anyone who was injured. They found the motorcyclist on the ground with serious injuries. The motorcycle sustained major damage and laid several feet from the rider. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital via ambulance to receive treatment. The motorcycle had to be hauled from the scene, officers said.
