West Sacramento, CA (September 30, 2024) A collision involving several vehicles, including a motorcycle, occurred in West Sacramento, early on Sunday morning, September 29th, 2024. The collision claimed one person’s life, according to police reports. It all happened on Highway 50, not far from Harbor Boulevard, just before 3 o’clock in the morning.
Initial reports indicated that a motorcyclist lost control and slammed into another vehicle. Another car then struck the motorcycle before slamming into another vehicle, reports indicated. The impact threw the rider off the motorcycle. They landed several feet away and the motorcycle was left dented and broken on the roadway.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist on the ground. Officers rushed to the victim’s side, ready to give life-saving treatment. Unfortunately, the rider had sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Drivers of the other vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Officers are working to determine what caused this multi-vehicle collision in West Sacramento, as well as who was responsible for this accident. It is currently unknown if DUI was a factor in this fatal crash.
