Bakersfield, CA (September 10, 2024) Motorcyclist, Rose Jamie, was taking a ride along Highway 99 in Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon, September 8th. Her motorcycle collided with another vehicle, not far from Rosedale Highway, leaving Jamie with serious injuries.
Rose Jamie was riding her Harley Davidson north on Highway 99 on Sunday afternoon. Her friend and fellow motorcyclist, Kimberlee Current, was also on a motorcycle, riding along with Jamie. Current said she watched in shock as a vehicle struck Jamie’s motorcycle. She told authorities that she was devastated as she watched her friend roll across lanes of traffic on the highway.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found Jamie on the ground with several injuries. Reports indicated that she had sustained a broken collar bone, a concussion and massive road rash. Paramedics at the scene quickly transported her to Kern Medical where she was immediately put on a ventilator. Amazingly, she is no longer on the ventilator and the medical staff expects her to make a full recovery.
