San Bernardino Mountains Motorcycle Crash Injures Rider

April 26,

(San Bernardino, CA) A motorcyclist crashed in the San Bernardino Mountains and fell over a hillside.

On Saturday, April 26 before 3:30 p.m., authorities learned about the San Bernardino Mountains motorcycle crash. The accident occurred in the San Bernardino Mountains close to Cleghorn Trail in the Cajon Pass.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the rider had fallen about 100 feet from the side of the road. The rider sustained moderate injuries during the fall and could not get back to the roadway.

Due to high winds and power lines in the area, fire officials cancelled a helicopter rescue. Instead, a rope rescue system was made to safely raise the rider back to the road, where emergency medical treatment continued. As a result of the San Bernardino Mountains motorcycle crash, first responders rushed the rider by ambulance to a local trauma center for further treatment
