San Diego, CA (July 26, 2024) A sad motorcycle accident took place around 11:08 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 in a Mission Beach neighborhood.
San Diego police reported that a 21-year-old man was riding a Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle with a 20-year-old woman passenger. They were in a parking lot.
The man was apparently speeding and doing wheelies when he lost control after his front tire hit the ground. The man sustained an abrasion on his leg. His passenger, however, was far worse off. She was thrown from the bike and suffered a skull fracture, forehead avulsions, and a broken elbow. She had not been wearing a helmet.
Paramedics rushed her to the hospital and described her injuries as life threatening. Her current condition is unknown at this time.
