Temecula, CA (October 23, 2024) 55-year-old Thomas Flynn tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle collision while riding his motorcycle on Monday, October 21st. The fatal accident occurred on Rainbow Canyon Road in Temecula, just after 12:00 p.m.
It was just after noon in Temecula as vehicles traveled to various destinations. Thomas Flynn rode his motorcycle along Rainbow Canyon Road, when he suddenly collided with another vehicle, according to reports. Flynn was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway. The motorcycle slid across the road for a few feet, before coming to a stop in a damaged heap. The driver of the other vehicle stopped and waited for authorities.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the vehicle with a dent left from the motorcycle’s impact. They found Flynn on the ground and began giving him life-saving treatment. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and, at 12:21 p.m., Flynn was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department called for a coroner.
Officers had to close Rainbow Canyon Road, as well as Rainbow Valley Road, between the Temecula Creek Golf Course and the Riverside County Line. They took statements and gathered evidence in an effort to better understand what caused this vehicle versus motorcycle collision. They are also determined to discover who was reliable for this collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
