Desert Hot Springs, CA (September 7, 2023) A woman died following a crash near Desert Hot Springs. The California Highway Patrol said they responded to the accident around 11:24 a.m.
A man and a woman were riding on a green Harley Davidson motorcycle and hauling a small trailer. They were traveling down Interstate 10, according to California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer David Torres. For reasons unknown, the man lost control of the motorcycle and they swerved toward the center divider. The motorcycle overturned, throwing both riders onto the road.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene near the Palm Drive exit. The man and the woman were both taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. The woman, who was the passenger on the motorcycle, died from her injuries.
Authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol were involved in this collision.
