Long Beach, CA (October 29, 2023) Three pedestrians were struck by a vehicle and injured in Long Beach on Saturday night, October 28th, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The accident occurred near the Port of Long Beach, shortly after 6:00 p.m.
Long Beach Police Department Lt. John Hotchkiss told City News Service that the collision took place in the 100 block of Pico Avenue, near the Seaside (710) Freeway. Three pedestrians, a man, a woman and a 16-year-old boy, were walking when they were struck by a vehicle.

Emergency crews arrived to find all three victims down. They were all in critical but stable condition. Paramedics at the scene transported them to a local hospital where they were, according to Lt. Hotchkiss, they were said to be in critical, but stable condition.
The man who was driving the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police officers after the accident. He was also taken to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries he sustained during the collision.
Authorities are investigating the accident to try and determine exactly what happened on Pico Avenue in Long Beach on Saturday, October 28th.
