San Francisco, CA (August 16, 2023) A 4-year-old girl was killed and her father seriously injured after being struck by an SUV on Tuesday. According to San Francisco Police, the accident occurred a few blocks from Oracle Park.
A family of 3 was walking, 4-year-old daughter in a stroller, when they were hit by a gray Mercedes SUV. Police officers arrived at the scene around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of King Street and Fourth Street.

The child and both parents were transported to a local hospital. The father was treated for life-threatening injuries and the girl was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
People in the neighborhood told officers that the intersection is a dangerous one for pedestrians. The collision is being investigated.
