57-year-old Costa Mesa man killed in Fountain Valley accident

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (June 21, 2022) – A pedestrian identified as a 57-year-old Costa Mesa man was struck and killed in an accident in Fountain Valley according to L.A. Times.

Fountain Valley police say the accident occurred Sunday June 12, around 10:37 p.m. near the intersection of Warner Avenue and San Ricardo Street.

A driver in a 2002 Honda Civic collided with the 57-year-old man and pronounced him dead on the scene. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, or whether the pedestrian man was in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
