SAN DIEGO, CA (September 6, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in San Diego’s Logan Heights area, authorities said today.
The crash occurred at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at 31st Street and National Avenue, according to San Diego police Officer John Buttle.
The 27-year-old woman driving the vehicle westbound on National Avenue told police she did not see the 57-year-old man before her vehicle struck him, Buttle said.
The evidence indicated the man was walking southbound in the east crosswalk, the officer said.
The man was hospitalized with multiple skull fractures, trauma to his spleen and a fractured pelvis, Buttle said. Those injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The crash remained under investigation, he said.
