Austin Brooks Struck And Killed On The 105 Freeway In Los Angeles

Pedestrian killed in Bakersfield hit-and-run.

Los Angeles, CA (January 29, 2024) A pedestrian accident in the middle of the night claimed the life of 30-year-old pedestrian, Austin Brooks. This fatal pedestrian accident took place on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in Los Angeles, not too far from West Athens, according to authorities.

It was just after 2:00 a.m. on January 25th when Austin Brooks was walking along the freeway, near the Vermont Avenue exit. The darkness of early morning covered the freeway as Brooks walked. Right around 2:11 a.m., a vehicle was heading west on the 105 freeway and struck him, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Paramedics and police officers arrived at the scene and found Brooks lying on the ground with life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews did everything they could to help Brooks, but sadly, there was nothing they could do. Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene.
