Bakersfield, CA (November 8, 2024) A tragic accident left residents of Bakersfield saddened on October 26th, 2024. 15-year-old Cecelia Tousaint was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver at the intersection of North Florence Street and West Las Flores Avenue.
15-year-old Cecelia Tousant was walking in the Ridgecrest area when she was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of North Florence Street and West Las Flores Avenue. The impact knocked the teenager to the ground and, instead of stopping, the vehicle sped away, leaving Tousaint behind.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the teenager girl on the ground. They hurried to her side and began life-saving measures, but she had already succumbed to her injuries, according to reports. With heavy hearts, officials pronounced 15-year-old Cecelia Tousaint dead at the scene and called for a coroner.
Officers investigated the scene and are working to find the vehicle and driver responsible for this fatal hit-and-run accident.
