San Fernando, CA (August 10, 2023) 46-year-old David Padilla, Jr. was hit by a Metrolink Train on Wednesday evening, where he received fatal injuries. The victim was identified today by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the call around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The accident happened on the 1100 block of Truman Street, not far from North Maclay Avenue in San Fernando.
Spokesperson for the LAFD, Brian Humphrey, said the victim was already dead when they arrived and was therefore pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other victims involved and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
