SANTA BARBARA, CA (SEPTEMBER 21, 2023): 19-year-old David Rousso is facing charges following a hit-and-run that killed a male pedestrian Tuesday afternoon.
The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office reported that a man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver on Storke Road between Bollay and Santa Felicia drives around 3 p.m. The victim, a landscape maintenance worker, was discovered unconscious in the bicycle lane. Sheriff deputies attempted first-aid on the victim, but unfortunately the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the collision, responding deputies were able to track down Rousso to the 400 Block of Storke Drive, where he was positively identified. His charges and bail amount are still pending.
Authorities state that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this collision. They continue to investigate the responsibility of David Rousso in this fatal pedestrian hit-and-run.
