Huntington Beach, CA (October 30, 2024) 67-year-old Earl Venosdel was struck and killed by a motorcycle on the Pacific Coast Highway on October 5th, 2024. The collision occurred in Huntington Beach at approximately 7:00 p.m., according to reports. The motorcyclist was also critically injured in this collision, near Beach Boulevard.

The sun had already set over Huntington Beach as vehicles drove along the Pacific Coast Highway. A 42-year-old man from Buena Park was riding a motorcycle on Pacific Coast Highway, headed south. When he approached the intersection of Beach Boulevard, 67-year-old Earl Venosdel was walking in the crosswalk, according to reports. The motorcyclist did not see him until it was two late and crashed into the pedestrian. The impact sent both men tumbling onto the roadway. The motorcycle slid across the highway and slammed into a Toyota, officers reported.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found both Venosdel and the motorcyclist with critical injuries. Both were transported via ambulance to a local hospital to receive treatment. Venosdel fought for ten days, according to reports. However, he succumbed to his injuries on October 15th, 2024. Authorities pronounced Earl Venosdel dead at the hospital. The motorcyclist remains in the hospital in critical condition, following this horrible accident on the PCH in Huntington Beach.

Officers are working to determine what caused this fatal accident. They gathered evidence at the scene and took statements. The motorcycle had to be hauled away on a flatbed truck, following the initial investigation. The accident currently remains under investigation, according to reports.
