Jaime E. Munguia Struck, Killed By Multiple Vehicles In Hesperia

Pedestrian killed in Las Vegas hit-and-run.

Hesperia, CA (February 26, 2024) The town of Hesperia was shocked after learning that a pedestrian was hit by multiple vehicles on Saturday morning. 34-year-old Jaime E. Munguia, from Palm Springs, was reportedly struck by multiple vehicles on Main Street, officers said. The terrible incident took place right around 1:30 a.m. between Pyrite Avenue and Escondido Avenue.

It was the middle of the night as Munguia moved along Main Street on foot, not far from Interstate 15, officers said. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez reported that Munguia was hit by more than one vehicle and they believe that at least one of the vehicles fled the scene following the collision.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the scene and found Munguia lying on the ground, unresponsive. Officers said it was obvious that he had been hit by at least one vehicle. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hesperia Police Department is leading the investigation into this fatal accident and wants anyone with information to contact them. They are determined to figure out exactly what happened, as well as learn how many vehicles were involved.
