Jose Dorado, 77, Killed in Boyle Heights Hit-and-Run

Boyle Heights, CA (April 18, 2024) – Jose Dorado, 77, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run collision in Boyle Heights on Tuesday night, April 16th, 2024, authorities confirmed.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division received a call regarding a collision at the intersection of Mission Road and Plaza del Sol around 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a vehicle traveling south on Mission Road struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping, according to an LAPD spokeswoman.

Dorado was pronounced dead at the scene by responding police officers.

The victim was identified as Jose Dorado by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
