Man Killed In Cutler While Helping Clean Up Road Debris

Firefighter pedestrian struck and seriously injured by hit-and-run vehicle in Windsor Hills, Los Angeles.

Cutler, CA (September 27, 2024) A man was tragically killed while trying to help clear debris from a crash off the road on Highway 63 on Friday.

Officials reported that a crash occurred shortly before 6:00 this morning when a driver was rear-ended in the southbound lanes of the highway. A man then stopped to help clear the debris. It’s unclear at this time if he was involved in the initial accident, or if he was just a bystander.

As the man was helping, a passing car struck and killed him. The motorist later told investigators that he didn’t see the man in the road.

One person from the initial crash was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation into this devastating incident is ongoing.
