Madera County, CA (July 18, 2024) On Wednesday, July 17 around 3:40 a.m., a man driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was on Avenue 12 in Madera County when he struck a man and woman on foot.
Tragically, the male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries, according to reports. She has only been identified as a 24-year-old from Clovis.
The man who was killed has not been identified at this time.
California Highway Patrol officers in Madera are still investigating the crash. They encourage anyone with any information regarding the incident to call them as soon as possible.
Authorities do not believe that the driver was under the influence.
