At approximately 2:15 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of Reno Street and Beverly Boulevard where they found a person who had been struck by a vehicle. However, upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim had been struck by a vehicle and not shot. Officers wonder if the vehicle had backfired, causing people to think it was gun shots. The Lost Angeles Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene and they rushed the man to a nearby hospital for treatment.
