(Riverside, CA) A Burlington Northern Santa Fe train struck a pedestrian, leaving him seriously injured in Riverside.
At about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, authorities received a pedestrian down call near the intersection of East La Cadena Drive and Kansas Avenue.
Witnesses reported a pedestrian was walking along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks near downtown Riverside when the Northern Santa Fe Train struck the man.
According to Riverside Fire Department, the victim suffered extensive injuries, prompting a paramedic squad to the accident site for treatment.
After first responders treated the pedestrian onsite, paramedics took the victim to Riverside Community Hospital for further treatment of unspecified moderate to major injuries,
