      Oxnard Man & His Dog Struck by Car on Rose Avenue

      Oxnard, CA (July 9, 2024) A terrible accident occurred on Saturday, July 6 in Oxnard.

      A pedestrian was walking in the area of Rose Avenue and Lockwood Street at around 9 p.m. that night when suddenly, a driver crashed into him. Thankfully, the pedestrian was alive when authorities and emergency medical services arrived at the scene of the collision.

      The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Reports say that the car struck the victim as the light turned green and he was crossing Rose Avenue. The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.

      Update: Investigation revealed that a black Toyota Camry hit both the pedestrian and his dog, who was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The man, Martin Hernandez Jr., is still in critical condition as of the latest reports.
