Pedestrian killed in Bakersfield hit-and-run.

Bakersfield, CA (February 27, 2024) A woman was struck by a vehicle on Wible Road in Bakersfield on Sunday evening. The driver then fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian lying on the roadway with critical injuries, officers said.

It was just after 6:30 p.m. when a female pedestrian was walking along the southbound lanes of Wible Road. Without warning, a vehicle approached and hit the woman in the 8500 block.
