Riverside, CA (November 25, 2023) A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Riverside on Friday, November 24th. The accident occurred near the Home Gardens area, around 10:19 p.m., authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol was called to Magnolia Avenue and Byron Street on Friday night. They arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway, unresponsive. Paramedics arrived and were prepared to perform life-saving measures, but sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. As of now, they do not think drugs or alcohol played a role in this fatal collision. Authorities with the California Highway Patrol are still investigating this accident to try and determine what exactly happened at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Byron Street in Riverside.
