San Francisco, CA (October 25, 2024) A tragic accident occurred early this morning in the Western Addition Neighborhood of San Francisco. A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle at Divisadero Street and Geary Boulevard. The accident occurred just before 7:00 a.m., according to reports.
As a pedestrian walked through the Western Addition Neighborhood in San Francisco, a vehicle approached. At approximately 6:52 a.m., the vehicle struck the pedestrian near Divisadero Street and Geary Boulevard. The driver immediately stopped and called 911, reports indicated.
The San Francisco Fire Department arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground with life-threatening injuries. The victim was quickly placed inside the ambulance and rushed to a hospital with sirens wailing and emergency lights flashing through the morning darkness. The emergency medical staff at the hospital did everything they could to save the pedestrian, but unfortunately, the injuries were too severe. They succumbed to their injuries and, sadly, authorities pronounced them dead at the hospital.
Officers at the scene questioned the driver of the vehicle and found that he was not intoxicated at the time of the accident. The case remains ongoing as investigators work to determine what caused this deadly pedestrian accident in San Francisco.
