      Los Angeles, CA (February 12, 2024) – The streets of South Los Angeles are shrouded in grief today following a tragic hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of 26-year-old Amatwa Tafari.

      The collision took place around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Vermont Avenue and West 120th Street, a somber reminder of the dangers faced by those navigating the city’s roads. Amatwa Tafari, a 26-year-old woman,  tragically succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

      According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run crash involved a Ford SUV.
