LOS ANGELES, CA (SEPTEMBER 9, 2023): A pedestrian was fatally struck while attempting to cross the street on Palmdale Boulevard early Friday.
According to Palmdale authorities, the pedestrian was struck at around 1:45 a.m. while running south across the Boulevard near Fifth East Street. The vehicle, a Silver Chevrolet Camaro, was traveling east when the driver in front of it was able to swerve out of the pedestrian’s path. Unfortunately, authorities report that the Camaro was unable to react in time and struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Camaro remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Palmdale authorities continue to investigate this fatal collision on Palmdale Boulevard.
