Sherman Oaks, CA (July 11, 2024) A terrible accident occurred in the late evening on Tuesday, July 9 at around 10:40 p.m.
Los Angeles Fire Department and LAPD responded to the scene and found that a male pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The accident occurred near Clark St. as the driver was heading northbound on Sepulveda in the number 2 lane. In footage of the accident, it appears that the car in question is a white Honda SUV. There is a large dent near the center of the front hood that leads to a huge crack in the windshield.
Tragically, the man who was struck was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified at the time of writing. In an interview with KeyNewsNetwork, an officer stated that while they could not immediately identify the victim, they believe that he was homeless.
