San Diego, CA (July 29, 2023) A 68-year-old male was crossing the Balboa Avenue when he was hit by a Dodge Neon, The accident happened in the Clairemont Mesa East neighborhood of San Diego shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

San Diego Police officers were called to the 6800 block of Balboa Avenue where they found the man on the north curb. The Dodge Neon, driven by a 21-year-old male, was heading west when he struck the pedestrian. The man hit sustained multiple fractures and lacerations and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Traffic Division is investigating the accident.
