For reasons unknown, the pickup hit the pedestrian between Howe Avenue and Ethan Way. Instead of stopping to call for help or even to check on the pedestrian, the driver of the pickup drove away.
Officers arrived at 2100 Arden Way to find the pedestrian on the ground, alone and injured. It was obvious the victim had been hit by a vehicle, according to police officers. Paramedics at the scene assisted the pedestrian before transporting them to a local hospital to receive further treatment for their injuries.
