The vehicle struck the pedestrian, knocking them to the ground. Instead of stopping, the driver hit the gas and fled the scene, officers reported.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground with injuries. They requested an ambulance and paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
