Hollywood, CA (October 6, 2023) – A pedestrian tragically lost their life on Friday, October 6th, in a hit-and-run accident on the 101 Freeway in Hollywood. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 4:40 a.m. in the area around Vermont Avenue.
The victim was walking in the lanes of the freeway when they were struck by a vehicle, sustaining major injury. When police arrived the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the identity of the victim has not been released.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene and did not stop to aid the victim or cooperate with police.
The California Highway Patrol have taken charge of the investigation into this hit-and-run accident on the 101 Freeway. They are looking for any information about the vehicle or driver involved.
