Lancaster, CA (June 25, 2024)
Early this morning at about 2 a.m., a pedestrian was walking west in the bicycle lane on 15th Street East and Avenue I when she was struck by a sedan also heading west. Los Angeles County Sheriffs received word of the incident and rushed to help.
Tragically, 30-year-old Brittany Brown sustained major trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating, and details are still being uncovered. They don’t yet know if speed was a factor in this crash. It is also unclear if the driver of the vehicle that struck Brown was impaired in some way. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
