POMONA, CA (August 24, 2022) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Pomona police vehicle today, but the circumstances of the death were unclear.
Paramedics were sent to Mission Boulevard and Main Street about 5:30 a.m. on a report that a person was struck by a vehicle, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The man, possibly in his 50s, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed that a Pomona police vehicle was involved in the collision, and an investigation was underway.
