Victorville, CA (September 19, 2024) A pedestrian was airlifted on Sunday night, September 15th, after being struck by a pickup truck in Victorville. The accident took place at the intersection of El Evado Road and La Mesa Road, just before 8:00 p.m., according to reports.
A pedestrian was walking through the intersection of El Evado Raod and La Mesa Road in Victorville on Sunday night. At the same time a GMC pickup truck entered the intersection at approximately 7:50 p.m. and struck the pedestrian in the dark. The force threw the pedestrian several feet and the driver of the pickup truck immediately pulled over to wait for authorities.
Reports indicated that Victorville City Fire arrived at the scene with an ambulance. They found the pedestrian on the ground with critical injuries, officers said. They requested a medical helicopter and the victim was Airlifted to a trauma center to receive treatment.
Detectives questioned the driver of the pickup truck and investigated the scene. They are diligently working to determine what actually happened at that Victorville intersection on Sunday night.
