Patrick Glant Struck & Killed By Big Rig On The 91 Freeway In Riverside

Pedestrian struck and injured in hit-and-run in the Westlake area of Los Angeles.

Riverside, CA (February 1, 2024) A pedestrian’s life was taken suddenly on the Riverside (91) Freeway, reminding us all of the fragility of life. The pedestrian, identified as 45-year-old Patrick Glant, was walking along the west side of the freeway when they were struck and killed by a big rig, authorities said. This devastating accident occurred just after midnight on February 1st, 2024, at La Sierra Avenue.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found Glant lying, motionless, on the west side of the freeway. Paramedics rushed to save him, but sadly, nothing could be done. Authorities pronounced Patrick Glant dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that Glant was in the middle of the freeway lanes when he was struck by the big rig. At this time, authorities do not know why Glant was in the roadway. The driver of the big rig pulled over and called 911 following this terrible accident. They remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, proving that good people do still exist in the world.

Police officers are not sure what happened on the Riverside (91) Freeway to cause this loss. The California Highway Patrol said that an investigation is being conducted to determine what caused this fatal accident in Riverside.
