The force from the impact sent the pedestrian through the air before he landed on the ground, several feet away. The vehicle, driven by a 40-year-old man, immediately stopped and called 911 following the accident.
The Pasadena Police Department hurried to the scene with sirens wailing and emergency lights flashing through the darkness. They arrived to find the pedestrian on the ground with life-threatening injuries, according to reports.
